This project invited participants to add rungs to the empty ladder in any way they wanted. The result became a tangiblerepresentation of how people make decisions and work with one another. I invited different groups to set it up (design majors, art majors, roommates, girls, boys) and was able to see how people’s relationships affect their teamwork and, in turn, their version of the ladder. As participants became aware of how their choices affected the group, the project became a portrait of their collaboration and a testament to its potential.
